We would like to thank all our church members for their continued support during this difficult time. As a church family we want to look after everyone in our church and local community. With this in mind please contact Andre or a member of session should you need to discuss any issue which may be worrying you at this difficult time and we will endeavour to support you in whatever way we can. As a church family we will be making a financial donation to the local food bank. We feel this is the safest and most effective way of supporting those who need it most in our local area. In light of the current Coronavirus pandemic it is uncertain when we as a congregation will be able to meet again. Whilst we can continue to worship together via the online services, one important aspect of worship that is missing is the contribution to the Lord’s work and the support of the Church. and this will impact on our congregation’s regular income. Many bills still need to be paid, including our quarterly direct debit to PCI. The Clerk of the General Assembly has communicated, with each congregation, outlining the options for fulfilling their financial obligations to PCI. With this in mind we want to encourage the members of our church family, who are able, to continue with their financial support of the church. Many are already doing this through standing orders, which can still be set up using the attached form, or by making direct electronic bank transfers through online banking. (Danske bank account number is 50075302; Sort code 950689)
o find out more about this please contact The church treasurer John McAllister on 07831891916 or The church FWO Treasurer James Mc Alister on 0776482751
Some may prefer to continue to fill their envelope on a regular basis and put these on the offering plate once we are able to gather again for our church services. For others none of these options may be appropriate at this time, and we certainly do not want anyone to be going out of self isolation to access cash.
The church website will have links to facilitate individual donations to organisations such as the “Food Bank” or “Salvation Army” who are helping our local community at this time.
We feel this is the best and safest way to carry out God’s instructions in Matthew 25:45.
